I’m in kind of a lull right now. Next week, that lull will be only a memory. I’ll be up to my hind end in true-dat geeks. Settin’ up servers, real and virtual, but… today, I played around a little with the look of the site. Yeah, right, I figured out how to make a gradient and decided instead of the good ol’ solid red, I’d drop a gradient in there.
Some of you are laughin’.
Yes you are, I know, I can hear it. Anyway, do you think it look’s any better, or is it too dark? Hit me with your best shot on this one. I think I saved the ol’ template. I’m not much on web site paint jobs.
I tinkered around a little more, and I swear, if I’ve seen one good recipe on the web I’ve seen a shit load of ‘em. Problem is, when I want one, I can’t remember who’s blog I saw it on. I thought I’d put together a way for folks to post recipes, and retrieve outta here. Kind of like one of those penny things in the store… Need one, take one! Got one, leave one! I’ve got most of the back end of it workin’, but now, and this is what got me started on paint jobs, I’ve got to “prettify it”.
Any interest? I mean, in the recipe’s, not the prettifyin’. Well, now that I think about it, either one?
Most of what’s in there is from stuff I want to make, but haven’t yet. Some I have though. Stuff that Mom’s made, and Sister’s made, and Grandma’s made, well you get the point I think. I had us a site before this one on a different kind of platform usin’ a different “language”. I kept the data, but canned the code when I switched hosts’s last. See, what I’m getting’ at here… is I want Eric’s barbecue sauce recipe, and I’m not beggin’, hell, I’m willin’ to work for it, and share it with you all!

awww, man! I’m comin’ to look for pictures and you throw at us recipes and request comments on how “pretty” your
remodeling job is? Lame I tell you! It’s all very lame. Sigh! Alright, I’ll play if it’ll get me some pictorial dotted
evidence on the fun y’all had at Eric’s.
A recipe website sounds nice to this northern chick. However, since we don’t have possum in these here parts (only rats)
I’d request that you have a regional breakdown of recipes. That way I know not to go to South East region for recipes
’cause that’s gator country. And I won’t go to the South west ’cause that’s armadillo & snake country. so all’s left is
fish, horse, bison and deer country. I’m a vegitarian so unless you show up w/a rhubarb pie recipe, you won’t be doing
me any favors! Well, maybe if you have a good cornbread or bicuit or gritz recipe I’ll take a peek. In any case, I’m
just cranky ’cause I came to look for pictures. Never mind me… I’ll just leave now.

Uh, michele, there is a recipe for rhubarb in there. Mama put it in there for my brother in law. You know, men gotta learn how to cook from somewhere. Dotted pictures? Why, what ever do you mean? I’ll throw an “un dotted” one out there. It requires no dot. To me, there’s enough “feelin’” in this one, that, well, it speaks for itself.
Ease up Zonker….

I thought it looked darker, but I blamed the hour (and the bourbon).

As fer the gradient. I likes. Like Jim, I thought maybe is was the refreshments at first. Recipes, I like recipes and have the same problem, find one I like and can’t remember where in the hell I found it. Got lot’s a Old World recipes that the Queens Nona taught me (Queen can’t boil water with out setting the stove on fire, I kid you not) and would be happy to share some of those in exchange. Yummy!!
