My youngin’s can foul up a COMputer quicker then water freezes around here these days, and that’s quick. I had the foresight sometime ago the ‘LAST’ time I was resurrectin’ one that they had beat into submission to make a Ghost image of the workin’ system before delivery. Tonight, it paid off in spades. 10 minutes, complete system restore without all the crap on there that was brinin’ it to a crawl. No more hijacked homepage, no more 10 processes runnin’ in the background waitin’ to serve us unwanted “popupmercials”. Gone. Zip. Zero. Nada. The 80.00 was worth every damned penny. Just saved my hiney at least 2 or 3 hours redoin’ Win2kPro and all the fixin’s. I did do one more thing though… I downloaded FireFox and deleted all shortcuts to Internet Exploder. Not even runnin’ NutScrape. Flat out Firefox, thank you very much.

Yeah, by all accounts – Ghost rocks! Gotta be careful, though, Neck. You can STILL probably get to IE by going from a folder address (”q:\My Documents\Midget Pictures”) to a website address (”http://www.gotmidgets.com/”). Thats just one of the “features” of Microsoft Windows.
By the way, you can thank Sandy over at The Dirty Ashtray for that URL. Wasn’t me…she found that one on her own!

Good decision. IE is bad news. Always has been, always will be. Microsoft can…well, you know what I mean.
